Entries from the Karl Stirner Arts Trail Plein Air Painting Invitation are on display at sponsor Vasari Classic Artists’ Oil Colors in the Silk complex, 1235 Simon Blvd., P102.
Plein air painting is the depiction of landscapes while painting outdoors. The term en plein air in French means “in the open air.” The practice was popularized by French Impressionists in the mid-19th century.
