Record-Breaking Success at 7th Annual Artful Dash 5K Run/Walk

A group of runners go through the iconic red arch sculpture during the Artful Dash 5K Run/Walk on the Karl Stirner Arts Trail in Easton, Pennsylvania.

This year’s 7th Annual Artful Dash broke the event’s fundraising record, providing $9,400 for the Karl Stirner Arts Trail’s artwork and free community programs.

“Every year, it’s humbling to watch so many people come together to run and walk the trail in the Artful Dash,” says race organizer and KSAT board member Lynn Schoof. “This year’s record-breaking year has left me speechless. I say it every year: We can not do this without the community and everyone participating. Thank you to everyone who signed up and came out on a beautiful Sunday morning to experience the trail with others. I can’t wait to see everyone back again next year.”

Joshua Davis finished first with a time of 17:50, followed by Mitch Riker (18:19) and Eric Heck (18:32). The online race results include the top finishers in each age group and gender category.

Event sponsors were Harmony Animal Hospital, Paul Ford Realtors, St. Luke’s University Health Network, Unity Bank, Hof & Reid, Lehigh Valley Health Network, RMG Insurance, College Hill Dental, Rizz Containers, Fulton Bank, optometrist Dr. John Boscia, and Bodacious Hair and Body.

Thanks also go to the city of Easton’s police and public works departments. If you’d like to help with next year’s race, contact Lynn Schoof, lmo5052@gmail.com.
