Sixth Annual Artful Dash 5K Provides Record-Setting Support for KSAT

Two women joggers laugh during the Artful Dash 5K Run/Walk on the Karl Stirner Arts Trail in Easton, Pennsylvania.

A total of 158 people finished the Sixth Annual Artful Dash 5K Run/Walk on Oct. 8, raising $8,000 for the Karl Stirner Arts Trail (KSAT), which hosted the race. Two hundred people registered for the event, which raised the most funds for KSAT in the race’s history.

“It was perfect running weather before the clouds came in that day,” says race organizer Lynn Schoof. “The race provides the opportunity for our community to enjoy the trail for either the first time or the 100th time. We’ve seen many familiar faces back this year and many new faces that we can’t wait to see next year.”

Volunteers are sought to assist Schoof in planning next year’s race. If you’re interested, contact her at [email protected]. This year’s event committee included Adam Fairchild, Steve Schmid, Mark Hannig, and Nancy Handzo.
